Greetings all, We’re starting our kitchen reno and have discovered the final homeowners didn’t know what drywall tape was. However they did understand how Peel-n-Stick vinyl backsplash was put in. Eradicating that crap pulled the facer off the drywall. On prime of that, behind the cupboards was what seems like unique drywall that’s staining the joint compound I added to patch a number of the holes.
on-line says that I needs to be utilizing shellac, then joint compound, after which sand/paint. This appears labor intensive contemplating that I must just about do the entire kitchen. Is that this a “simply rip it out and redo it” or can I simply mud over it and paint?
PS: do not choose the electrical but. That was one other gem from the earlier proprietor and will probably be remedied through the reno.
